Manic Manicures | My Must-Haves!

About four years ago, I got really manicures and nail polish.  I never had the money to go to the salon, so I scoured the internet to find ways of having great looking nails without having to spend my entire college fund.  I have found that, after investing a little cash into purchasing a few key products, and a lot of practice, I can give myself a manicure that lasts just as long-if not longer as a salon quality manicure (as long as I don’t pick it off). This solution is not only frugal, but it is healthier as well because I can also avoid using the harsh chemicals that most places apply to nail beds.

Tools-

     1.  Tweezerman Cuticle Trimmer- This is the holy grail of cuticle trimmers.  They are pricy, $22 at most places, but they are worth the price!  I have tried cheaper alternatives, but they always end up dull after a few weeks, and Tweezerman offers free sharpening FOR LIFE.

    2.   Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover- Just rub a little on your cuticles, wait a few minutes, and push them back.  This moistens cuticles, making it easier for them to be trimmed.

3.  Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter- While Sally Hansen makes a great product for prepping cuticles; Lemony Flutter is excellent for maintaining and hydrating nails and making them hard as rocks.  Before I started using this little gem, my nail used to be weak and tore easily.  Now, I cannot stop myself from showing them off and ALWAYS recommend this product.

Polishes Products

1.Nail Envy by OPI- this is an excellent base coat that can also double as a clear coat.  It strengthens nails, and sets the foundation for the perfect manicure.  I always apply two coats, just to make sure that the entire nail is coated.  This looks super glossy, and can be used on its own if you want a glossy finish but don’t have the time to give yourself a full manicure.

       2.  Seche Vite Topcoat- This topcoat sets the bar HIGH!  When I first got into at-home manicures, I stumbled upon this treasure, and it is now a staple in my Mani-Pedi kit.  It is quick drying, and gives any manicure an ultra-glossy finish.  You could use any type of polish, and two coats of this baby will make your manicure look like you got it from I high-end nail salon.

I decided to use Ciate Cream Soda with OPI Pussy Galore on my thumb and pinky fingers.

I hope I was able to give you a few ideas on products to purchase to perfect your manicures!  If there is a product that you love to use, tell me about it in the comment section!

There's no place like Home | I BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!

I haven't been blogging for too long, and I have generally talked about beauty products that I love, and work well for me.  Well, this blog is called "Indecisive Multitasker" for a reason.  I don't want to limit myself, or my blog.  I am moving from an apartment to a house, which is going to be a HUGE feat!  I am planning on vlogging my journey, because it's a milestone in my life that I don't EVER want to forget.  I've got less than a month until Operation: Move-In, lets see how this goes! ;)

Luscious Lipsticks| My Current Collection

I have always loved lipstick, but I've always been timid to wear it anytime other than for special occasions.  That was until I started following one of my favorite beauty bloggers, Zoella.  She rocks lipstick in EVERY shade, and always looks fantastic!  So, I have decided to dip my toes into the water, and start wearing it!

I have decided to go for two lighter shades, because even though the wintertime is perfect for deep cherry reds and oxblood colors, I am not quite ready to jump in head first.

This is my current collection-I am hoping to expand it in the coming months!

Fresh Faced | Finicky Skin

I have dry, sensitive skin.  It doesn't like to tan, and hates me whenever I wait too long to wash my face.  I know it's a little strange, talking about my skin as though it has a mind of its own, but that is generally how I feel every time I start to break out.  I don't even break out like most people, I get 2-3 random GIANT spots on my face that never break the surface.  This is why I tend to be cautious when straying away from my usual cleansing routine.  However, there is one facial scrub that I found recently that makes my skin GLOW, even when I get a spot or two!

The St. Ives Oatmeal Scrub+ Mask has been a newly discovered saving grace for both your sensitive skin, and your wallet.

What products do you like to use when your skin misbehaves?

Pretty Posh Polish | For Audrey

Today's manicure features For Audrey by China Glaze and All Aglow by Ciaté!

The dynamic duo!!  With Seche Vite to top it off.

This was one of the first polishes in my collection, and the only China Glaze product I still use, just because I am too impatient to wait for it to dry, and China Glaze polishes tend to take longer.

Fresh Faced | My Face Cleansing Routine

I cannot start my day without a clean face, there is something about the ice cold water on my face that wakes me up better than any alarm ever could.

I have tried using other brands of facial cleanser, but everytime I strayed away from the Aveeno line, my dry, sensitive skin would rebel against me.  I've been using Aveeno products since I was 14 years old, and they've been a staple in my skin care regimine ever since.

The Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser
is great to use as a morning cleanser, it leaves my face feeling fresh, and gives my skin the kind of glow that is essential for kick starting any morning! :)

Clear Complexion Cream Cleanser has exfoliating beads that are strong enough to wash away the dirt and oil left on your skin after a long day, and yet gentle enough to use everyday.  I just discovers this product a few months ago, and have no idea how I've gone on this long without it.

This was the first Aveeno product I ever used.  I've been moisturizing religiously for 8 years, and it is paying off!  I cannot wash my face without moisturizing after, my skin gets too dry and tight without it.

This reconditioning night cream is the first night cream I've ever used.  It leaves my face a little sticky at night, but when I wake up, I don't feel the need to immediately apply moisturizer when I wake up.

OLE HENRIKSEN Fresh Start Eye Creme

Before I discovered this eye cream, I didn't value the importance of a quality eye cream.  Now that It's about ready to join the collection of empties I've acquired, I'm getting nervous about forgetting to repurchase it before I run out.  This thick eye cream hydrates the delicate skin I used to neglect, and leaves my eyes bright and awake.  Remember, it's never too soon for wrinkle prevention!

So, there you have it.  My morning and evening skin routine bundled into one.  What products do you use to keep your face happy and healthy?

Peace. Love. LUSH | Online Shopping

Whenever I get bored, I go online and I window shop.  I never actually buy anything-some would call that will power, I just call that lazy.  But this ends today, because my parents owe me a (VERY) belated birthday and Christmas gift..or in this case gifts. This is going to be an interesting post-for me at least- because I am going to show a few products I plan on buying as a sneak peak of what I will be reviewing in the future!

Ocean Salt

I LOVE SCRUBS, because I have dry skin that needs the occasional exfoliation.  I also love the beach, and if I smell the coast every time I take a shower, I will probably bathe five times a day! ;)

Chocolate Whip Stick

Chocolate-Orange flavored lip scrub..need I say more?!

Therapy

This is an organic neroli and lavender bar with organic shea butter as well as organic cocoa butter.  Just a lovely mish-mash that will hopefully hydrate my dry skin after I hop out of the shower!

Chou Chou...I Love You

I love the concept of Toothy Tabs because I work in television, and I also work in severe weather.  The past few weeks there have been two occasions where I have had to pack an overnight bag and move into a hotel room for a few nights, so I don't want to worry about whether or not my toothpaste tube has exploded all over my makeup bag.

Ro's Argan body conditioner

If you have read my previous posts, you will know how IN LOVE I am with anything argan, so when I discovered this product online, I HAD to throw this in my cart..the price is a little steep, but I will let myself determine whether or not it's worth the splurge once I've tried it out! :)

Well, these are just a few products that I am excited to try out!  What is your favorite lush product?
PS- I will dedicate another blog post to the bath bombs I plan on purchasing as well! :)
