Latest Family Addition- Oliver the Boston | Indecisive Multitasker

I mentioned in my last post that it's been a LONG time since I last made a post.  I feel terrible for not sharing about this sooner, but back in the beginning of July, Ryan and I expanded our family by one more, and adopted little Oliver.  He was only 4 weeks old when we got him, having no idea that the people who sold us our precious pup were holding back from us how old our puppy really was.  I was so nervous at the thought of him leaving his mother at such an early age, but the people we bought him from were not the breeders, and only had him for a handful of days before realizing they couldn't handle the responsibility of a young pup.  Anywho, I will stop rambling!

He was small enough to fit in my sock!!  (My shoe size is 6.5!)

His teeth were like tiny razor blades

Brought him over to meet the family, so he was playing up the adorable pup

Keeping up with a 90lb black lab is exhausting!

the best part about boston terriers is their crazy facial expressions!

West Coast Wedding Bells | Indecisive Multitasker

It's been WAY too long since I've posted last, and A LOT has happened.  First off, my wonderful boyfriend..now FIANCE proposed to me on a trip out to the west coast, at my favorite vineyard in Napa Valley!!!  We have been together for nearly 5 years, which is insane to think about, since the time has really flown by!  He is my best friend, and while we have always treated our relationship like a marriage, now that we are engaged it really does feel like things have changed for the better!

Hair Conditioning Treatment Wishlist | Indecisive Multitasker

I love having platinum blonde hair, it's just fun.  Khaleesi and Elsa are my inspiration, and when I rock beachy waves I feel like I should be vacationing on the coast with a fruity drink in my hand, and sun soaking my skin.  But right now, I am in a basement with yoga pants on, rain pelting the windows, and getting completely off topic.  See, while I love my hair, a lot of the time, it doesn't do what I want it to.  It is damaged from the bleach, and I am not ready to go for a darker, more natural color just yet.  So, I am doing my research, and compiling a list of deep conditioners that should help heal my hair, and get it back to it's "pre-platinum" silky softness.

This product had mixed reviews, on both the scent and the results.  So many people were raving about it's ability to tame the frizziest of hair, as well as brighten and condition it, while others stated that the scent was too strong, and flattened out their hair.  From what I can tell, this is a product that works across the board on many different hair types, as long as you use it in moderation.

I have a soft spot for all things Pureology.  I have sworn by their conditioners, and their Perfect 4 Platinum line has kept my blonde locks from fading like other shampoos.  It seems that I am not the only blonde who loves this line, and many others swear by it, stating that it left their hair as soft and strong as it was before coloring it.

I mentioned this product in my last blog post, which actually drove me to writing this one as well!!  Lush products have a short shelf life, but they attract both the penny pinchers and the haulers due to the quality of their products.  If you're looking for a fresh product that will give your dull, dry hair a wake-up call, the reviews are in, and "H'suan Wen Hua" could be your next best friend!

Well, I hope you guys enjoy this wishlist I've compiled, and if YOU have any suggestions for deep conditioners that are staples in your collection, especially ones for platinum blonde hair, please leave it in the comment section below!!

Tropical Spa-Day Wishlist | Indecisive Multitasker

Life gets busy.  Half the time, you don't even realize it's hit you until you're gasping for air and can't seem to find the time to stop and catch your breath.  When this happens, you don't have time to plan for a spa day, so it's always best to have the essentials stored away for when you finally get a chance to slow down long enough to enjoy yourself and the moment you're living in.

Candles set the mood, and right now, I am in a Beach Day mood.  Whether you've got the count down clock for your vacation playing out in your mind, or you're just dreaming of the day where you can get to take a few days out of your busy schedule to just relax, this candle will take you one step closer to feeling the sand between your toes, and the salty sea air brushing against your cheeks.

Remember, we are trying to slow things down, and nothing will calm a racing heart and mind like a soak in a slow melting luxury bath melt from Lush.  This one is called Floating Island, and the hints of lemon and sandalwood will leave you to soak in your own tropical oasis.

I have found that the busier I get, the more irritated my skin becomes.  It want's a break just as much as I do, so whether or not I've got time to enjoy a full spa day, or just enough time to slather on a face mask in the shower, this face mask forces me to enjoy the little things in life, like seaweed bits on my face.

Lets stop for a second and pretend that I know how to pronounce "H'suan Wen Hua"...
Apart from reminding me that it's been too long since I last watched "Lilo and Stitch", it's also meant to re-hydrate my platinum blonde locks that have been parched for far too long.

I will add that I haven't tried most of these products, but from the reviews I have read, they are the best at their jobs, and I would spend my money to try them all out.  I hope many of you reading will benefit from this, and even come up with your own list of go-to spa day products and leave them in the comment section below!

Lush Wishlist | June 2014 Ed.

So, I am obsessed with Lush!  Their products are environmentally friendly; many of which are free of packaging, and those that require it come in little black pots that the company recycles.  You can even bring in 5 empty black pots and trade them in for a fresh face mask!  Throw in the fact that their products are organic, in some cases vegan, and 100% cruelty free, who wouldn't have a wishlist here!

Madame Butterfly, how did you know that I have been craving a bubble bath? and with lovely floral accents caressing the senses, and up to six uses out of this wand, what more could a girl ask for?!

This Breath of Fresh Air Toner will transport you away from the hustle and bustle of a hectic schedule, and drop you on a beach with a fruity drink in your hand.  From the moment this toner is applied to your face, you remember the hot sand in between your toes, and the gentle sea breeze whipping your hair.

I  like to look on the Brightside of life; with it's vibrant colors and tangy tangerine undertones, Brightside Bubble Bar really knows how to brighten up your day!  Soaking in this citrus scented sunrise will kick your morning into high gear, leaving you smelling tangy and sweet, and able to conquer anything the day ahead throws at you!

Ladies, we don't wake up fresh faced and dewy like Hollywood likes us to believe we should.  Hell, even Kate Upton and Taylor Swift wake up with their hair plastered onto the side of their face.  That is why we need to embrace our beauty, because those around us see the beauty in us that we stubbornly refuse to believe is there.  Our morning skincare routine means making sure that our faces are glowing when we walk out the door, and prepared to combat the harsh pollutants the world throws our way.  We are Gorgeous creatures, and this moisturizer belongs in our arsenal to defend against just that.

The magic behind this Popcorn lip scrub isn't the salt and sugar mixed together to create an exfoliation experience that only happens when opposites attract, ridding your pout of dry and flaky skin cells.  Nor is it the coconut and jojoba oils that brings hydration back into your thirsty lips.  It is, in fact, the power pot that cripples snack cravings!! That is, until you get your hands on whatever salty or sweet treat you want to snack on.

This final product is poetic.  It reminds us, that like a Phoenix Rising from the ashes, this bath bomb allows you to hit the reset button on a lousy day.  As you drop it into the hot water, watch all the negativity you've endured sink to the bottom of your tub, fizzing away.  Let the spicy apple scent seep through the cracks of the bathroom door, and as the bath bomb rises once again, know that soaking in its golden and violet tinted waters will clear your mind, and you will finally be free to let it all go.

May Favorites 2014 | Indecisive Multitasker

I cannot BELIEVE I've been moved into my new house for OVER A MONTH!  For this reason, I have been seriously slacking on blogging and videos.  I also do not have the best lighting in my new house for recording videos, so I'm not too happy with the few I've filmed.  I have also been dealing with all the bills that come with buying a home, so I've been budgeting like crazy, and I haven't had as much to spend on my favorite beauty brands.  Fortunately, I scraped up enough cash and coupons to buy a few newbies.

PS- this is an April/May combo

1. Benefit They're Real! Mascara

2.  Liplicious Hydraglass

3.  Rimmel London: Kate Moss 11, 107

#11

#107

4.  NYX Mega Shine Lop Gloss in Beige

5. Pureology Perfect 4 Platinum Conditioner

Oddball Favorites!

1.  Frozen

I get that this movie came out months ago, and people are already getting over it, but this is how I look at bandwagons; I wait to jump until almost everybody has gotten off, I can't help it.  I love everything about this movie!!  I love how relatable Anna is, and belting out Let it Go in my car with the stereo blasting (so I can't hear myself sing).

Healthy Blonde Hair | Pureology "PERFECT 4 PLATINUM"

I have been a blonde for three years, and during that time I have made a lot of mistakes caring for it along the way.  Whether it be using the wrong products, or not using the products necessary to keep my hair healthy, I have learned from these mistakes.  The most important lesson I have learned along the way is that the foundation of healthy hair begins when you wash it.  I have tried using inexpensive shampoos and conditioners to try to save money, but that only leads to added damage.
My hair is my most expensive accessory, and I am willing to pay to maintain it.   This is why I love the Pureology line.  I have recently been using their "PERFECT 4 PLATINUM" line, and my golden locks thank me for it!  Whenever I wash my hair with drugstore brand shampoos or conditioners, I can feel the moisture being sucked out of my hair.  It feels straw-like, and it makes managing it impossible.  I also get "fur balls" that collect around the shower drain with cheaper brands.

That is the first thing I noticed when I started using Pureology products, my hair stayed on my head.  I hated snaking the drain, and I do it less frequently now.  The conditioner keeps my hair soft, and hydrated!  If you must choose between the two, go with the conditioner, because properly moisturizing your hair is key! Finally, bottle blondes pay a lot for bright, shiny hair, and this duo keeps that color as vibrant as the day you walked out of the salon.

I might not seem like it, but I am frugal when it comes to beauty products and hair care.  I only purchase these products when I come across a coupon, and I know these products will last me 4-6 months, the shampoo even longer.

For those who don't feel like reading the whole post, I've made a quick and easy read for you!!

1.  Pureology rocks
2.  Locks in moisture
3.  No "fur balls" collecting around the drain
4.  Color stays vibrant

A Life Passing

I have had a lot going on in my life.  This past week alone, I have dealt with a lot.  I packed up the rest of my apartment and turned in the keys, had a flat tire in the middle of the night, had to replace three of my tires, and injured my foot.  All this in three days.  The worst part of the week happened on Tuesday morning, when my grandfather passed away.  He and I were not close, but that doesn't mean that I didn't care for him very much.  He was recently diagnosed with a rare and vicious type of cancer that crippled his body in a matter of weeks.  He had a brain tumor the size of a tangerine removed not even a month ago, and now he isn't here anymore.  He was first diagnosed in March, and was a functioning adult up until his brain surgery.  It was a terminal cancer, and all I can think is at least he didn't have to suffer.  He hadn't gone through radiation or chemo, and while the last moments of his life he was in great discomfort, it did not last very long.  With everything that had been going on at the time, visiting him during his last hours was difficult, but I did manage to see him one last time.  While I knew that this was the final goodbye, finding out six hours later that he had passed was still surreal.  He had been in hospice for a week, and the emergency room several days before that.  I am not close to my family, only seeing them once or twice a year.  I don't have the best relationship with my parents either, so this whole situation has been very difficult and confusing for me to process.  I pride myself on my strength, and it has helped me get through this week.  While it is difficult for me to stay focused at work right now, for the most part I am taking it as well as I expected.

Hydrating Blonde Hair!! | Olive Oil Mask

So, my hair had been downright unmanageable the past few weeks, and I had to fix that!  So, I grabbed a pair of kitchen scissors (not the best idea) and cut off a good five inches of split ends and damage.  Now, my hair comes down right at my chest, and it's crazy how much of a difference it made!  It's no longer in the way, and more importantly, it's no longer a chore to take care of.  For extra measure, this morning I applied olive oil to my hair for hydration!  I ran the bottle under the hot water for a few minutes, and then applied a small amount gradually until I felt that I had enough in my hair.  After letting it work its magic for about 10 minutes, I washed it out and re-conditioned..just because I am addicted to conditioning my hair!  I let it air dry, and applied a small drop of John Freeda Frizz Ease serum and ran to work!

What DIY hair masks have you done to your hair?  I love that you can pamper yourself with products you can find in your pantry, saving a ton of money in the process!

Drugstore Haul | April 2014

So, in the midst of "New House Shopping", I dropped by the cosmetics isle and couldn't resist picking up a few products!  I've tested a few of them, but for those I have yet to unwrap, expect a review coming soon!!
Enjoy!

EYES
1. E.L.F. Studio Eyebrow Kit

2. E.L.F. Studio Cream Eyeliner

I tried this product out after I purchased it, and I will not be purchasing this again.  I think I might have an allergy to one of the ingredients in this product, because It caused my right eye to itch and water uncontrollably until I washed the product off..also, this product did not stay put, and after only a few hours it began to migrate into the creases of my eyes.

LIPS
1. E.L.F. Lip Exfoliator

2. Rimmel- London Kate Moss #01

I have fair skin, mainly because I work in a basement and never get to see the light of day.  While a tan would be nice, this lipstick is bold enough to make a statement!

FACE
1. Milani- Bronzer XL-Fake Tan

2. E.L.F. Studio Stipple Brush

There's No Place Like Home | LESS THAN ONE WEEK!!!

I have been neglecting my blog the past few weeks for various reasons.  What with work, adopting a shelter dog, and packing up my apartment, I haven't found the time, or energy to focus on you guys, and I apologize for that.  It's even harder when I've got less than three days to go!!  But don't worry, I've been brainstorming, so I've got plenty of videos planned, as well as product reviews!
Hugs!

Drugstore Duds | Conditioner

I have been trying to find ways to save money these past few months.  What with prepping to move out, and adopting an adorable pup, my hair care allowance has become virtually non-existent.  So when I finally ran out of my 34oz Pureology Hydrate conditioner that I've been using for the past 6 months, I realized that I could no longer afford my luxury conditioner, and would have to find a drug store brand that kept my color treated hair manageable.

My first mistake was not going for a hydrating conditioner, or a conditioner designed specifically for blonde hair.  I had no idea how damaged my hair was until I quit using Pureology.  It only took two washes with TREsseme's conditioner from my hair to go from soft to straw!  Even when I was applying it to my hair, I couldn't feel any moisture penetrating my hair.  I hate that this was a dud for my blonde hair, and maybe the fact that I am blonde specifically is the reason it didn't work for my hair.  Either way, I am disappointed in the results of this conditioner, and I hope that I can find an inexpensive conditioner to use, if not, Pureology is worth the splurge!

If anybody has a great drugstore or inexpensive conditioner for platinum blondes or intense moisture, tell me about it in the comments section

I Adopted a Shelter Dog!!

Meet Willie (name pending actually) my five month old black lab mix puppy!  He is quite the handful, more than I expected, but he has quickly become a beloved family member!

April Wishlist | Sephora

The biggest problem that comes with buying a house, is not being able to spend money.  AT ALL!  So, since I have been put on a retail hiatus, I thought I would blog about the products I would LOVE to buy, if I had the money for it! :)

Benefit Cosmetics they're Real! Mascara

I LOVE this mascara!!  I was given a sample size for my birthday from Sephora several months ago, and I just used the last of it.

Benefit Cosmetics Watt's Up!

I have a sample size of this as well that I started using, and its already on my shopping list!  I am loving the dewy look it gives my skin, and plan on using it for contouring as well.
Nars Bronzing Powder- Laguna

With warmer weather FINALLY upon us, I am running out of excuses for sporting pale skin!

Benefit Cosmetics Brow Zings

I love my brows, they've got a great shape to them!  I've got to make sure I do a great job filling them in to ensure I do them justice.

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte- 15 Extreme Coral

I am not  a lipstick kinda girl, but I have always wanted to be.  Also, the packaging is gorgeous.

Well, those are the products I have been eyeballing the past few weeks.  As you can tell, these are all high-end products.  I will be making my wishlist of drugstore products soon, and if you've got any high-end cosmetics you think I should add to my wishlist, be sure to leave a comment below!

Manic Manicures | My Must-Haves!

About four years ago, I got really manicures and nail polish.  I never had the money to go to the salon, so I scoured the internet to find ways of having great looking nails without having to spend my entire college fund.  I have found that, after investing a little cash into purchasing a few key products, and a lot of practice, I can give myself a manicure that lasts just as long-if not longer as a salon quality manicure (as long as I don’t pick it off). This solution is not only frugal, but it is healthier as well because I can also avoid using the harsh chemicals that most places apply to nail beds.
*this is not a paid testimonial

Tools-

     1.  Tweezerman Cuticle Trimmer- This is the holy grail of cuticle trimmers.  They are pricy, $22 at most places, but they are worth the price!  I have tried cheaper alternatives, but they always end up dull after a few weeks, and Tweezerman offers free sharpening FOR LIFE.

    2.   Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover- Just rub a little on your cuticles, wait a few minutes, and push them back.  This moistens cuticles, making it easier for them to be trimmed.

3.  Lemony Flutter Cuticle Butter- While Sally Hansen makes a great product for prepping cuticles; Lemony Flutter is excellent for maintaining and hydrating nails and making them hard as rocks.  Before I started using this little gem, my nail used to be weak and tore easily.  Now, I cannot stop myself from showing them off and ALWAYS recommend this product.

Polishes Products

1.Nail Envy by OPI- this is an excellent base coat that can also double as a clear coat.  It strengthens nails, and sets the foundation for the perfect manicure.  I always apply two coats, just to make sure that the entire nail is coated.  This looks super glossy, and can be used on its own if you want a glossy finish but don’t have the time to give yourself a full manicure.

       2.  Seche Vite Topcoat- This topcoat sets the bar HIGH!  When I first got into at-home manicures, I stumbled upon this treasure, and it is now a staple in my Mani-Pedi kit.  It is quick drying, and gives any manicure an ultra-glossy finish.  You could use any type of polish, and two coats of this baby will make your manicure look like you got it from I high-end nail salon.

I decided to use Ciate Cream Soda with OPI Pussy Galore on my thumb and pinky fingers.

I hope I was able to give you a few ideas on products to purchase to perfect your manicures!  If there is a product that you love to use, tell me about it in the comment section!

There's no place like Home | I BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!

I haven't been blogging for too long, and I have generally talked about beauty products that I love, and work well for me.  Well, this blog is called "Indecisive Multitasker" for a reason.  I don't want to limit myself, or my blog.  I am moving from an apartment to a house, which is going to be a HUGE feat!  I am planning on vlogging my journey, because it's a milestone in my life that I don't EVER want to forget.  I've got less than a month until Operation: Move-In, lets see how this goes! ;)

Luscious Lipsticks| My Current Collection

I have always loved lipstick, but I've always been timid to wear it anytime other than for special occasions.  That was until I started following one of my favorite beauty bloggers, Zoella.  She rocks lipstick in EVERY shade, and always looks fantastic!  So, I have decided to dip my toes into the water, and start wearing it!

I have decided to go for two lighter shades, because even though the wintertime is perfect for deep cherry reds and oxblood colors, I am not quite ready to jump in head first.

This is my current collection-I am hoping to expand it in the coming months!

Left to Right: Revlon Color Burst in Strawbeery Shortcake,
Rimmel London: Kate Moss, MAC, Rimmel London: Kate Moss

Rimmel London- Kate Moss 12

MAC Ruby Woo

Rimmel London- Kate Moss 109
